Itinerary

When you arrive in Casablanca, Morocco's commercial city, your private driver will greet you and transport you to your Casablanca hotel, where you will check in and relax for the day. You may like to take an optional tour of the Hassan II Mosque, depending on your schedule. It is one of the largest Mosques in the world, and its handcrafted beauty is breathtaking. Dinner will be provided by the hotel.

After breakfast, you will travel for Chefchaouen, Morocco's iconic blue city in the Rif Mountains, where you will enjoy your 14-day Morocco tour. On the route, you will stop for lunch and to explore Rabat, Morocco's capital city and home to the King, as well as the lovely beach city. You'll travel to Chefchaouen for the night after lunch. After breakfast, you will travel to Volubilis to see the old Roman ruins. The morning will be spent seeing the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a feel for Roman Empire life. Meknes, Morocco's royal city, will offer lunch. Following lunch, your guide will take you on a walking tour of Meknes before bringing you to Fes, Morocco's cultural and spiritual hub. The hotel restaurant will serve dinner.

Your guided tour of the medina, one of the world's largest walled-in villages, will begin after breakfast. You will wander through narrow passageways lined with fresh fruit, spice mounds, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other artifacts of Moroccan art. You will see the Royal Palace, tanneries, and potters, to name a few places. Lunch will be provided in a traditional restaurant in the medina's heart. After lunch, you'll conclude your tour and return to your hotel for the evening. Dinner will be served at a nearby restaurant.

After an early breakfast, you'll set off on your journey across the Middle Atlas Mountains. You'll spend the most of the day making your way through stunning woodlands, jagged rock walls, and Berber towns as you cross through the Atlas Mountains and begin your descend into the Sahara Desert. You'll stop for lunch halfway through the journey at Midelt, a town noted for its fossils and rocks. After a long trip, a hot shower or a dip in the swimming pool (depending on the weather) at the Merzouga Kasbah will be a welcome respite. Dinner will be served at the Kasbah.

The most of the day will be spent at the hotel or exploring the small yet fascinating desert communities. In the afternoon, you'll take a 4-wheel drive vehicle into the desert to visit the stunning Sahara sand dunes. You will take a 30-minute camel ride out into the dunes to see the sunset. You will return to Erfoud by camel to the 4x4s after breakfast. You set off from Erfoud behind the High Atlas Mountains for the Todra Gorges. In the afternoon, you will take a trip through the magnificent Todra Gorges (600 feet high). The beautiful river valleys make for an enjoyable walk towards Morocco's southeast. You will spend the night in Dades before traversing the High Atlas Mountains. Dinner will be served at the Kasbah.

After an early breakfast, you take the 1000 Kasbahs road to Ouarzazate. If you like, you may explore the old Kasbahs nestled among the palm trees. As you watch this wonderful natural beauty, a trip up into the Dades Gorges is well worth your time. You may glimpse this southern village as you arrive in Ouarzazate, which is arguably most known now for the films that have been shot there. Dinner will be provided by the hotel.

In the morning, we for Taliouine, Morocco's Saffron capital and a beautiful oasis village. Continue to Taroudant, a former regional capital and the first capital city of the Saadian dynasty, located at the confluence of the Souss valley and the High Atlas mountains, the "little Marrakech" offers a stunning view over southern Morocco. Taroudant offers a beautiful setting and a one-of-a-kind product to students who wish to rest in the shade of ochre walls and experience the sweetness of life and Berber hospitality of Moroccans all year. Visit the fascinating souks, which are famous for their leather, iron, wood, painted wood, ceramics, and Berber money. You have the afternoon to yourself.

Travel to Agadir after breakfast, which provides a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. Agadir's long, shallow beach stretches as far as the eye can see, forming a crescent of sand. After lunch in Agadir, we continue north to Essaouira, where you can explore Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French pasts in the well-preserved architecture, with its small alleyways and whitewashed buildings with blue paintwork, and enchanting fishing harbor reflecting the Portuguese character of 16th century settlers.

After breakfast, we head for Marrakech along the beautiful inland route with the forest of Argan trees, which are found exclusively in this region of the world, and we stop to take photographs with goats collecting' Argan fruits. Then, make a visit to a women's Argan oil cooperative in your area... You may take a tour to learn how Argan oil is made, chat to the ladies, and buy Moroccan delights like handcrafted soap or 'Amlou,' a traditional Moroccan jam to take home. Then we'll go to Marrakech. Spend the night in a hotel or riad.

Today is a touring day tour of Marrakesh, known as the "Pearl of the South," to learn about the city's fascinating history and rich cultural legacy. The Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the city's highest structure, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens are all worth seeing. You will go to the souks and the world-famous Djemaa El Fna, which offers a wide spectrum of entertainment (storytellers, water vendors, acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, musicians, orange-juice sellers, open-air grilled food-stalls). Optional Fantasia dinner at a nearby restaurant. Enjoy the fantasia entertainment, which includes horse shows, folkloric armies from several Moroccan regions, and belly dancers. Overnight.

Day 13 :
MARRAKECH

The morning is free to explore the medina at your leisure. Anyone interested in viewing actual traditional Berber life might take a half-day excursion to the nearby Ourika valley south of Marrakech.
