Today, we'll drive through the Rif Mountains and Tetouan City, taking in the scenery until we arrive at Chefchaouan, one of the most beautiful settlements at the foot of the Rif Mountains. Today we will start visiting the oldest city in Morocco, wandering through its lanes and little streets. Our tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace entrance, the Jewish headquarters, and the earliest Mellah ever erected in Morocco, which was established in the 16th century. We will make certain that you visit all cultural and historical landmarks, including the famed Al Qaraouine University, the region's oldest, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Moulay Idriss tomb. Today after breakfast, we'll begin our exploration of the area by visiting a community of black people originating from Mali to see their music and way of life. After that, we'll drive to Miffis Mines to see how they function before heading beyond the Dunes in a complete desert with stunning views to sit for a warm cup of tea with the local Bedouins. After a cup of tea, your local guides will show you how to ride and disembark your camels, as well as other useful camel-related safety recommendations, before you begin exploring the mystical Erg-Chebbi sand-sea. Continuing our 8-day Tangier desert tour, we will begin experiencing Marrakech, Morocco's "red city." We will make certain that you visit the most important historical and cultural places.
