4 DAY BERBER VILLAGES TREKKING ITINERARY:

DAY 1: MARRAKECH -IMI OUGHLAD -TIZI N'TACHTE -TIZIANE

Toubkal Experience offers top-rated Berber village walks in Morocco. We leave from your Marrakech hotel and drive via the Moulay Brahim canyon and higher valleys. We reach the upper foothills of the Atlas Mountains. We arrive at Imi Oughlad and join our muleteer team for a 2-hour climb up to Tizn'tachete, going through cornfields, woodlands, and pine trees. We trek another hour to Imi n'ifri and then south-west down a dirt track to Assif n' ait Oussaden. We arrive in Tiziane, a terraced village, for the night and dinner. (We provide ordinary or premium lodging for Toubkal hikes.)

DAY 2: TIZIANE - TIZI N'TAGHRHOURTE - D'KNT

After breakfast, we'll climb up the Assif n'ait Oussaden valley, passing through wallnut forests, up to Tizin'taghrhourte (1995m), and via a rare virtually level stretch to Assaka spring, where we'll have a field lunch among magnificent solitude. Our afternoon adventure takes us via the forest limits to D'knt (1870m) or agouns n Assoul, where we'll eat and sleep in a bivouac or gite.

DAY 3: D'KNT - TIZI N'TAGDALTE - TIZI OUSSEM

Our 4 Day 3 Valleys & Berber Villages Trek begins with a 3-hour ascent via walnut woods, corn, and barley fields. We'll cross the Tizin'tagdalte and descend through juniper woods to a spring for lunch. We walked 3 hours down winding upper slopes to reach a river in Assif n'ait oussaden. From here, we climb to Tizi oussem (1850 m), where we camp or stay in a gite.

DAY 4: TIZI OUSSEM - IGHOULIDEN WATERFALLS - TIZI N MZIK - IMLIL - MARRAKECH

Today's hike begins with a climb out of the Azzadene Valley and continues up the valley to the settlement of Azib n Tamsoult, from whence you will go to the Ighouliden waterfalls. We hiked back across the Tizi n Mzik pass (2489 m). After lunch, we descend into Imlil, where you can spend the night in a riad or be transferred to Marrakech.
